El Rancho is conveniently located on the beautiful Kapiti Coast just a one hour drive from both Wellington and Palmerston North. Our property is like a peaceful oasis bordering the Waikanae River and a short walk from Waikanae Beach.

Uplift Youth Retreat Camp
Waikanae, Kapiti Coast.
For youth to 14 to 20 something who have been an El Rancho leader, who might want to be an El Rancho leader or friends of a leader. Join us for this weekend retreat designed to strengthen your faith, motivate you to be a leader (at school, church or El Rancho camps) and allow you to connect with others your age who are passionate about representing Christ in our world.

April School Holiday Kids Camp
"Once Upon A Time" - The Greatest Story Ever Told
It is our pleasure to open a new chapter in the storybook of El Rancho. We'll take your kids through all the classic fairytales that we all know and love. From Rapunzel to Snow White, from Cinderella to The Three Little Pigs, from Hansel & Gretel to Pinocchio. Then we'll venture through the greatest story ever told, the story of Jesus Christ.
Give your kids a week away – somewhere they can be challenged, have fun, be safe and learn about God. Each school holidays we run camps for kids 7-12 years old. These residential camps are packed with a wide range of outdoor activities, fun games and crafts and include a creative and energetic guest communicator who shares the Gospel message and stories from the bible.
On-site leaders and staff provide 24 hour care and supervision and a “camp mum” is on hand for scrapes, bruises and medical needs. At our children’s camps we have an average of one leaders to every 5 campers. This provides close supervision of activities and lots of personal attention to the needs of individual campers.
Ages - 7 to 12 years old
Cost $189 per camper.
Camp starts on Monday, April 16 at 6:30pm
Camp finishes on Friday, April 20 at 4:00pm

Head into an action-packed sporting weekend designed for young adults. It’s a full-on programme of 16 different sports running back-to-back from early morning to late at night. An awesome time is guaranteed! The camp is for 15 – 40+ year olds.

Easter Kid's Weekend
"Are you ready for Something Different?
Don’t get us wrong, this is still a Kid’s Camp, but not as you know it. When Jesus died and rose again everything was different, everything was changed. So it is our pleasure to take your kids through the ultimate story of how Jesus gave his life for each and every single one of us!!

Easter Friends & Family Getaway
Thursday, April 5 - Sunday, April 8
“Friends and Family Weekend Getaway”. We will be opening up our Holiday Park and Elm Conference Center to be booked out for the holiday weekend as we do during our summer motor camp season. In addition to enjoying great accommodation and our beautiful retreat center, we have invited RunRIG Children’s Ministry to run a morning children’s programme, Friday – Sunday from 9:30am to noon.
We will also be offering activities such as flying fox and archery in the afternoons and will have a special Easter Church service on Sunday morning so we can celebrate resurrection together. Please note that this is not an Easter Conference and therefore is not catered. There will be a two night minimum over this holiday weekend and to help celebrate something new, we will be offering a free nights stay for all those who book for all four nights (Thursday – Sunday nights).
