Our Cabin Leaders are definitely the heartbeat of our Kids' Camps. These youth voluntarily give up a week of their school holidays to come out, look after a cabin of kids, and teach them about God.

Sure you get tired, and maybe taken out of your comfort zone a little bit, but the rewards for being a leader far outweigh that!

Cabin Leaders are paired up for the week and are given the responsibility to look after a cabin of 8-10 kids, ensuring their physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social needs are met, all within a safe, caring and nurturing environment.

New leaders need to go through an application process which consists of an online form, a written interview regarding working with children, 2 references including one from a youth or church pastor, and for those 17 years of age or older, a Police check. The application plays a big part in whether someone is accepted as a Cabin Leader or not.

To support both new and experienced leaders, we run a two day leaders' training just before the start of our Kids' Camps. This gives them a chance to hang out with friends, get prepared and focused for the week ahead of them.

The minimum age to be a Cabin Leader is 16 years and it is free of charge.

Please Note: Our Leader's registrations are now on HOLD as we have reached the maximum number of Leaders that we can have...if you have any questions you can email us at programmesinfo.co.nz

Leaders will be at camp from 10:30am on Sunday 7th - 11:00am on Saturday 13th July.

The actual kids camp runs from Monday 8th - Friday 12th July.
It is a 'day camp' with no overnight stay for the campers, they get dropped off and picked up each day.

It is just the leaders that stay the night all week.
